Muslim Women’s Network

The Muslim Women's Network (MWN-UK) is an independent national network of individual Muslim women and Muslim women’s organisations across the UK. Search their website for reports and media articles about Muslim women’s lives in Britain and around the world: www.mwnuk.co.uk

Mosaic Mentoring Network

Mosaic is a Muslim-led network founded by HRH The Prince of Wales which supports Muslim young people aged 5-25 to realize their potential.  The Mosaic Mentoring Network encourages successful Muslims from across the public and private sectors to utilise their skills and experiences by mentoring young Muslims and their friends in some of our most deprived areas. National Muslim Youth Advisory Group

The Young Muslims Advisory Group (YMAG) is a group of 23 young Muslims, aged 17-26, from across England. YMAG has been set up to work with Government to act as a critical friend to help find solutions to a range of challenges including tackling discrimination; increasing employment levels; preventing extremism and boosting civic participation. Our stories, our lives: Inspiring Muslim Women’s Voices

The Joseph Rowntree Foundation has published a book which presents the stories of 20 women living in Bradford, between the ages of 14 and 80 from their own point of view. A collection of films from the project are also available to download from: www.jrf.org.uk/publications/our-stories-our-lives

Muslim Women Power List

In March 2009, the Equality and Human Rights Commission published a list of the 100 most powerful Muslim women in Britain today. The list includes women who are on the way to - or have already reached - the top of their chosen field, be that business, civil service, arts, media or the public sector. Woman's Voice

Woman’s Voice is a voluntary organisation set up by Muslim women in Blackburn to support women to get involved in their local community and to make a positive difference. ASMA

The American Society for Muslim Advancement (ASMA) is a New-York based non-profit organisation founded in 1997 to develop discourse on Islam and foster environments in which Muslims thrive. ASMA runs youth and women’s projects to promote leadership and cultural exchange. City Circle

The City Circle aims are to promote the development of a distinct British Muslim identity; to assist the process of community cohesion and integration by building bilateral strategic alliances between Muslim and non-Muslim communities; and to harness and channel the skills and resources of Muslim professionals into practical projects thereby facilitating and empowering young Muslim women and men to 'put back in' to the wider British community.
